WINTER WEDDING IN TORONTO - HOTEL OCHO & MINT ROOM STUDIOS

GREG + ASHLEY /

TORONTO, ONTARIO

A sun-filled winter day in Toronto was the perfect backdrop for this classically beautiful Toronto wedding.

I built such a special bond with Greg and Ashley after I captured their wildly adventurous, passionate, and fun engagement shoot in the fall - a day that ended with us sharing a meal and talking for over an hour in my mother-in-law's living room.  These types of couples are the reason I do what I do.  That was followed by months of exchanging hilarious messages, getting together with them, and so much excitement leading up to their wedding day.

Can we talk about crying?   The ugly (but most endearing) type.  The raw, can't hold back, river-flooding tears.   This day was FILLED with that.  In fact, I have so many sweet crying photos, I could fill an album with just those.  Seeing so much emotion and love throughout the day is another really special thing you get to witness (and share in some of the time) as a wedding photographer.  The genuine love these two have for each other makes my heart full.

There were so many special and hilarious moments throughout the day - like the father-daughter first look (see below and you'll understand), the bride and groom jumping on their bed and then throwing poker chips at me before their nuptials, more late-night McDonalds than I've ever seen, all their guests doing the wave at dinner, and some pretty amazing speeches.

Ashley & Greg, it was such a privilege to capture the most important times in your lives this past year.   I'm so incredibly grateful for the friendship we've gained, and can't wait to be there for all your future milestones.   And to Greg - yes, I will still grab your bum (if you're lucky)!
